Raffles Hotels & Resorts has appointed Dennis de Groot as acting
GM for two of its Cambodian properties: Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom
Penh and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap.
The hospitality stalwart joins with more than 15 years of industry
experience, and held previous hotel management positions in the
Maldives, Azerbaijan and South Africa, including nearly three years at a
private game lodge.
De Groot joined the Accor Group in 2016 to oversee the rebranding of
the Jumeirah Dhevanafushi into Raffles Maldives Meradhoo. He then moved
to Cambodia in 2018 to take up the role of Hotel Manager at Raffles
Hotel Le Royal, where he became acting general manager in January 2021
and oversaw the historical property's recent year-long restoration
project.
In celebration of Cambodia's reopening to vaccinated international
travellers without quarantine, Accor also recently launched its 'For the
Love of Captivating Cambodia' campaign in hopes of inspiring travellers
to explore the country’s renowned heritage sites and extensive array of
experiences.
