Outrigger Hospitality Group has announced its senior management team tasked to open three resorts in southern Thailand in 4Q 2021.

The three launches are Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort and Outrigger Surin Beach Resort in Phuket scheduled for a 15 December opening, and Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort scheduled to open in Lamai Beach before Easter 2022.

Tony Pedroni will lead the team in his role as Area General Manager, Thailand. He will be supported by Sergey Kutuzov, Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Thailand, as well as Leah Matters, General Manager for Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort.

Pedroni joins with more than 30 years of industry experience across seven countries and three continents, spent largely with Marriott International and Outrigger Hospitality Group.

Kutuzov’s hospitality career spans nine years in Thailand working with MINOR, Accor and Dusit. He also spent six years in Dubai, UAE, working with Starwood and Accor.

Matters has held senior roles with Outrigger in Australia and Thailand since 2008, including as GM of Outrigger Twin Towns Resort, and as resort manager of the former Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort from 2015 to 2021.

The new team aims to "re-establish Outrigger among the top beach resorts in Thailand for families and couples," said Damian Clowes, Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific, where "guest experience and satisfaction will be core deliverables at our new properties," added Pedroni.
