Dorchester Collection has appointed Mirko Cattini as general manager
of Hotel Eden, a luxury five-star hotel in Rome with effect from 14
February. Cattini will be taking over the role from Luca Virgilio, while
Virgilio will make the move to London in January to helm the position
of general manager of The Dorchester.
The hospitality stalwart has risen through the ranks of executive
positions over the years at the Corinthia Hotel, London; Shangri-La
Hotel, Singapore; Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu; and
Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.
With over 20 years of experience in the luxury hotels and resorts
sector, Italian-born Cattini will step up to the general manager
position in Hotel Eden after a three-year stint as the hotel manager of
The Dorchester, London.
Cattini looks forward to returning to his home country and “leading a
team dedicated to elevated experiences in a hotel with such storied
heritage and social vibrancy. We will work together to bring many
memorable moments to our guests and employees.”
Expanding on Cattini’s capabilities on helming Hotel Eden,
Christopher Cowdray, CEO of Dorchester Collection, believes that “Mirko
has proven to be an impactful leader at The Dorchester and we know that
his skills and expertise will further enhance the legendary Hotel Eden.”
