Masanori Hosoya has been appointed as general manager for Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, Bali.
Hosoya brings to Mandapa more than two decades of hospitality
experience and over 16 years with The Ritz-Carlton brand. In his new
position, he will take ownership over all of the resort’s operations and
business strategy.
Prior to joining Mandapa, Hosoyo served as general manager of The
Ritz-Carlton, Nikko in Japan where he spearheaded the hotel’s opening in
May 2020.
Born in Japan and raised in Spain, Hosoya has a wealth of knowledge
of the Ritz Carlton brand from his time spent in Spain and Japan,
including luxury properties within Marriott International. His
hospitality career began in F&B where he worked for various
one-Michelin star restaurants.
Hosoya first joined The Ritz-Carlton, Abama Tenerife in 2005,
followed by Hotel Arts Barcelona where he held various leadership
positions. When Hosoya returned home to Japan in 2014, he assumed his
hotel manager role at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo for two years before moving
up to his first role as general manager of BVLGARI Hotel and Resorts,
Tokyo-Osaka Restaurants.
