Datuk Tan Kok Liang has been re-elected as president of MATTA for a second consecutive term.
The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has elected Datuk Tan Kok Liang as president during its recent 44th Annual General Meeting last Saturday in Kuala Lumpur.

Tan will serve a second consecutive term as president for 2019-2021. He is also the director of tour agency Borneo Trails Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, Tan said he would focus on “creating better business opportunities for members” while continuing to “create more opportunities and fighting for better regulatory and business conditions for MATTA members”.

Over the next two years, Tan will focus on developing the MATTA Tourism Industry Distribution and Booking Platform, partnering with Petronas for member incentives, and combating illegal travel agents in collaboration with Radio Televisyen Malaysia.
