Sisdivachr Cheewarattanaporn, managing director of Quality Express Co, is once again taking the helm of the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA), after being voted in as president during the 39th ATTA Board of Directors Election last week.

Leading a team of 22 members under the theme of Stronger Together, Sisdivachr garnered 515 votes, ahead of Mingkwan Metmowlee, managing director of Image D'Asie Travel Agency and current president of ASEANTA, who headed the Power of Change team.

Sisdivachr is no stranger to the post, having assumed the president role at ATTA several times in the past, including during SARs and the Boxing Day tsunami and most recently during 2013-2014.

The travel industry veteran said he decided to run for ATTA again after many industry members urged him to take up the role to lead Thailand's battered tourism sector out of the Covid-19 crisis.

In his new two-year term (2021-2022), Sisdivachr has outlined several priority areas, including focusing on reopening tourism with countries which are ready; pushing for the adoption of vaccine passports; and setting up a reserve fund that tour operators would be able to tap into during crises.
