Simon Barnett has made the move from hotel manager at Four Seasons
Hotel Singapore to general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta.
As a highly skilled hospitality leader with three decades worth of
experience in the industry, comprising over 10 years spent with Four
Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Barnett boasts experience in hotel
operations, sales, marketing and revenue management.
Barnett started out in the front office of a five-star hotel in
Brisbane, Australia before venturing into various departments, including
concierge and reservations before discovering his affinity with sales.
He progressed steadily the sales ranks, learning to flex his creative
muscles and think outside of the box while building teams across the
Gold Coast (Australia), London and New York.
He joined Four Seasons Hotel Sydney as director of catering and
conference services in 2011, quickly rising to director of marketing in a
short time. During this period, he craved to take on a role that would
encompass the hotel in its entirety and allow him to utilise his
all-rounded hotelier skills. Barnett’s transition to hotel manager in
Sydney was followed by a move to Four Seasons Hotel Singapore where he
served as both hotel manager and director of marketing.
In his new role, his vision in helming Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is
to “engage more deeply with the local community and continue to deliver
exceptional hospitality to guests from around the world”.
