Amadeus has appointed Javier Laforgue as executive vice president,
travel unit & managing director, Asia Pacific to oversee the
company's business across the region.
A travel industry veteran with more than two decades of travel
industry knowledge, Laforgue boasts extensive experience across various
senior management roles in Amadeus.
He was mostly recently Amadeus' global head of air distribution,
which included managing the company's NDC strategy and investment
programme. Prior to that, he also played a key role in establishing the
global sales function and headed the Latin America region as well as the
expansion of Amadeus’ activities in key growth areas such as payments.
In his new role, Laforgue hopes to address the challenges and
opportunities in Asia Pacific through Amadeus' technology offerings.

A Spanish national who holds a Master of Business Administration from
IE Business School, Laforgue will be based in the Amadeus office in
Singapore.
