HONG KONG – The Macau Business Tourism Centre, inaugurated earlier this week, is all set to cater to the needs and challenges of Macau’s steadily growing business travel events industry. In the opening ceremony, MGTO director, João Manuel Costa Antunes, said that the on-going developments of large-scale convention, exhibition and entertainment facilities will provide favorable conditions for the development of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions. Thus Macau has to capitalise on the opportunities to nurture the territory into a prominent business tourism destination in the region. The centre’s main role is to establish a platform for the business tourism industry to communicate and to understand the needs of the local industry and strengthen the liaison work among the trade.
