Le Meridien adds one in Thailand

HONG KONG - Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with a local Thai company, Vitya Holding Company Limited, to manage a deluxe five star property at Khoo Lak Beach in Phang Nga Province, about an hour's drive from Phuket International Airport.

The 258-room Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach Resort is currently under construction and is due to open in the first quarter of 2004.

The resort will include over 20 private luxury villas, 230 hotel rooms and conference facilities for over 400 delegates. An extensive spa, pool and restaurant facilities are also promised.

The resort will feature Le Meridien Penguin Club for children.
