BOHOL - Japanese Consul Eiji Ito is set to recommend the de-listing of Bohol in the Visayas from the travel advisory issued by the ministry of foreign affairs of Japan during the early part of the year.

The Cebu-based Japanese envoy made the statement after conducting an inspection to Cebu's neighboring province.

Bohol, which has untainted waters and marine garden, sun, sea, surf, draws a large percentage of Japanese visitors.

The Japanese Association of Travel Industry, Cebu (JAT-IC) had been concerned about the ebbing Japanese inbound traffic following the issuance of the travel ban and invited Ito to Bohol. Cebu is a jump-off point to Bohol which is one hour away by ferry or a 30-minute ride by fast catarman.
