Insight Vacations has become the first European tour operator to enter Vietnam formally through the wholesaler appointment of Traveland Co Ltd late last month.
“During the economic crisis, we received several bookings from expatriates living in Vietnam. This gave us an indication that there is a demand for holidays to Europe from this market,” said Robin Yap, Insight Vacations’ regional director-Asia.
In line with the appointment, Insight Vacations conducted a product sales training seminar in Vietnam to familiarise about 25 agents with its range of escorted motorcoach tours to Europe, America/Canada and Eastern Mediterranean.
Insight Vacations is also in discussions with its airline partner, Singapore Airlines, to jointly offer a Superdeal Package in which those who book an Insight tour package will be offered a couple of nights’ stay in Singapore before or after their tour to Europe and America.
