Travel company Corendon is converting the aircraft, repainted in company colours, into the Corendon Boeing 747 Experience, due to open later this year.

The 150 tonne aircraft – which has been stripped of all serviceable parts (including engines) – will take its final journey over 17 ditches, a major highway and a provincial road, before coming to rest in the gardens of the hotel.

The Corendon Village Hotel opened last year in the former headquarters of Sony with 680 rooms, suites and apartments – plus great airport views.
