Singapore's iconic Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is finalising its design plans for its expansive transformation. With full-scale construction slated to commence by July 2025 and a targeted finish by July 2029, the MBS expansion promises a host of exciting additions.

Designed by Safdie Architects, the expansion encompasses a luxurious hotel tower boasting a sky roof, a cutting-edge 15,000-seat entertainment arena, and enhanced premium MICE facilities. Additionally, new culinary and nightlife experiences are in the pipeline..

The jewel in the crown of the expansion is the state-of-the-art arena, primed to become Asia's premier live entertainment venue, and expected to draw world-class performers and their hordes of fans.

“The all-suite hotel tower will set new standards of hospitality, the state-of-the-art arena will help attract the highest-calibre global entertainment events and artists, and the additional convention and exhibition space will extend the success of Singapore as a leading MICE destination,” said Patrick Dumont, president and chief operating officer of Marina Bay Sands’ parent company, Las Vegas Sands.

Moreover, the expansion complements MBS's ongoing S$1.75 billion reinvestment initiative, focusing on refurbishing existing facilities and introducing new upscale amenities.

Since its inception in 2010, MBS has been a cornerstone of Singapore's tourism sector, attracting millions of visitors and hosting numerous MICE events, thereby bolstering the economy and fostering local enterprise.
