The Chow Kit - An Ormond Hotel has unveiled new ways for travellers to enjoy the real Kuala Lumpur with tours of its neighbourhood, reflecting the boutique property's location but merging tradition and modernity to offer guests a home away from home feeling.
Located in Kampung Baru, the hotel is in the vicinity of Chow Kit’s famous market - the largest produce market in Malaysia - as well as Southeast Asia's largest Sikh temple, contemporary malls, cafés, and eateries featuring local fares.
To make a stay more memorable for guests, The Chow Kit has partnered local tour guide, Fuad Fahmy, to curate two itineraries around the must-see destinations in the area.
The Chow Kit Walking Tour (RM99) showcases one of the most eclectic neighbourhoods in Kampung Baru where travellers can find hidden gems in the alleyways and enjoy the history of Kuala Lumpur's oldest district.
The Chow Kit Foodie Tour (RM115) allows guests to savour local delicacies such as charcoal-toasted bread with kaya and butter, local kopi (coffee) and murtabak (savoury meat stuffed pancake).
