The former Bayview Hotel Singapore has reopened as 30 Bencoolen within the Arts & Cultural district of downtown Singapore after an extensive $20-million transformation that took over a year.

“Technology is changing faster than ever, and with that, the expectations of modern travellers,” said Kevin Peeris, Bayview International Hotels & Resorts’ Group’s regional head for business development.
“From mobile platforms to communicate directly with the hotel team, a scale-able technology backbone to meet future needs, to work and family-friendly touches, 30 Bencoolen aims to lead the way as a hotel of choice for discerning leisure and corporate guests,” he added.
Touted as the first hotel in Singapore to harness the power of the Internet of Things, 30 Bencoolen’s 131 guest rooms and suites are equipped with Smart Room Control Units that proactively monitor every room’s status and automatically reports defects to the operations team in real-time.
Guests can also communicate directly with the hotel’s staff via Whatsapp.
Other features include handy phones in every room, with access to free local and international calls to six countries, self-laundry services and family rooms with two ensuite bathrooms.
The LOCAL Restaurant & Bar offers a curated menu featuring hearty culinary dishes, gourmet coffees and a signature mocktail, LOCAL Freeze.
For corporate needs, 30 Bencoolen offers a variety of intimate and medium-sized meeting spaces for up to 150 people, across six meeting rooms, including one with an outdoor cocktail area, for mingling and networking.
To mark the opening of 30 Bencoolen, the hotel is offering a special 30% discount off best available rates for all room categories, with complimentary breakfast for room guests, from now till end February 2018.
