Section L is opening its ninth apartment hotel in Tokyo this month
with the launch of a property in the foodie paradise of Ueno-Hirokoji.
Howard Ho, co-founder and CEO at Section L said, “We aim to make each
Section L property a springboard into the unknown, through elements
like original artwork, retro aesthetics, and a photo wall of our top
neighbourhood destinations to ensure our guests feel the allure of
Tokyo’s ‘shitamachi’ (downtown].”
At check-in, guests will gain access to InterSection, the in-house
social app designed to bring travellers together, and where they can
discover the neighbourhood’s gems and local events curated by the staff.
Section L Ueno-Hirokoji has 25 rooms with larger room sizes that can
accommodate between 4-6 persons. Rooms are equipped with a full-size
kitchen, washing machine, high speed Wi-Fi and a smart TV.
Two Sauna Suites will be available at Ueno-Hirokoji, with a Finnish sauna suitable for up to six people.
Section L says it is establishing a niche in the sector of upper
midscale apartment-hotels in Tokyo. In the past 10 months, Section L has
opened apartment hotels in Ginza, Tsukiji, Hatchobori, Kuramae,
Hamamatsucho and Yushima.
