Marriott International has announced a new hotel management agreement with SKS Group to open Courtyard by Marriott Subang in Selangor, Malaysia. The 280-room hotel, set to open in 2026, will be part of a mixed-use development in Subang's commercial district.
The property will feature an all-day dining restaurant, rooftop pool, and event spaces including a 1,000-square-metre ballroom and four meeting rooms. Its location offers proximity to leisure attractions and airports, being a 5-minute drive from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport and 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Andree Susilo, senior director of hotel development, Asia-Pacific at Marriott International, said: "We are thrilled to partner with the SKS Group to expand our Courtyard by Marriott brand in one of Malaysia's most dynamic commercial and cultural epicentres."
This agreement marks SKS Group's third collaboration with Marriott International and its first venture outside Johor. The group previously launched Four Points by Sheraton Desaru in 2021 and plans to open Sheraton Johor Bahru next year.
Meera Raj, head of hospitality at SKS Group, commented: "Our partnerships with Marriott International cements our contribution to Subang's appeal as a commercial and leisure destination with an array of our distinctive hospitality offerings."
The new hotel aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers, aligning with Courtyard by Marriott's brand ethos of providing guests with everything they need while travelling.
