Economy brand ibis Styles has opened in Bangkok's Ratchada neighbourhood with a freeform design that Accor says, “draws inspiration from the modern and funky city life”.
Guests arriving at the 266-room hotel are met with a dramatic lobby space “influenced by music and theatre”, with sweeping metal flourishes and stage curtains reinterpreted as a backdrop, depicting modern graphic renditions of Thai cultural shows.
“With its excellent location along the city's mass transit line, coupled with comfortable bedding, free Wi-Fi, and family suites, ibis Styles Bangkok Ratchada is set to bring fun and comfort to business and leisure travellers in the neighbourhood,” said Patrick Basset, COO of Accor for Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia and the Maldives.
Rooms range from 25 sqm for a Standard Room to 34 sqm for a Family Room that can accommodate up to four guests. All rooms feature a 43” Smart TV, and the signature ibis Styles SweetBed.
A fully equipped fitness centre spa offer a choice of wellness regimes and facial and massage treatments.
The hotel offers three meeting rooms and one grand ballroom showcasing a campus concept for 40-pax board meetings and up to 160 guests for conferences.
Within the hotel's immediate vicinity are the Ratchada Train Night Market, The 9th Towers Grand Rama 9 office and retail complex, The Street Ratchada shopping mall, and the Thailand Cultural Centre performing arts and exhibition venue.
