David Beckham has headed celebrations to mark the opening in Macao of the Londoner Grand.
Londoner Grand is a resort within a resort, situated within The Londoner Macao, and inspired by London's prestigious Mayfair district.
Alongside Beckham, Sands’ global ambassador, was G Bear, The Londoner's newly-appointed No.1 ambassador and chief experience officer.
The opening event included a gala dinner at residence club Hampton Court featuring courses by chef Edward Lee, from Netflix's hit show Culinary Class Wars.
Londoner Grand’s peak experience is Paiza Grand, an exclusive butler-serviced hotel that includes one- and two-bedroom suites, including six pool suites and one Jacuzzi suite.
For dining, Hampton Court has an extensive dinner buffet open to the public, while Chelsea Garden, open 24 hours, offers regional Chinese cuisines, plus local Macanese favourites and Hong Kong café classics.
As for Beckham, newspapers in the UK are tipping that the former England and Manchester United football legend will become Sir David in the King’s Birthday Honours this week. His Spice Girl wife Victoria will be known as Lady Beckham.
