The Ascott Limited is accelerating its growth in North Africa, with a focus on Morocco, as it adds new hotels and signs future properties across key cities.

A major milestone in Morocco’s expansion strategy is the opening of Citadines Almaz Casablanca, a 61-unit apart’hotel located in the commercial capital. The property, which is just 30 minutes from Mohammed V International Airport, provides modern amenities including a gym, restaurant, and meeting facilities, offering both short- and long-stay options for travellers.

Further growth is underway with the signing of Citadines Bab Tangier, a 130-unit apart’hotel set to open in 2027. This new property will be strategically located near Tangier International Airport and the industrial zones, catering to business and leisure visitors.

Ascott’s pipeline also includes several upcoming openings in Casablanca and Marrakech:

  • Citadines Connect Belvedere Casablanca (Q4 2026) – A 60-unit business hotel.

  • Citadines Racine Casablanca (Q3 2025) – A 123-unit serviced residence in the city centre.

  • Ascott Hivernage Marrakech (Q4 2026) – A 100-unit serviced residence in the Hivernage district.

  • The Unlimited Collection Marrakech (Q4 2026) – A 90-room lifestyle hotel in Gueliz.

With Morocco’s tourism sector seeing significant growth, Ascott is well-positioned to cater to the increasing demand for quality accommodation, particularly with the anticipated rise in visitors due to events like the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

“We are excited to deepen our presence in North Africa and specifically Morocco,” said Vincent Miccolis, managing director for Middle East, Africa and Türkiye at The Ascott Limited.
