HONG KONG – Luxury five-star hotel, Harbour Plaza Hong Kong is set to be re-branded as Harbour Grand Kowloon on January 28, 2010. The re-branding follows the announcement of the opening of Harbour Grand Hong Kong earlier this year. The “Grand” in the name signifies the brand’s five-star image and luxury offerings. There will be two Harbour Grand hotels in the city, with one on Kowloon side and the other on Hong Kong Island. Located along the Kowloon waterfront, the hotel said its decision to re-brand is a natural progression and reflects the hotel’s acknowledged five-star status. “As the group’s flagship hotel, we believe the rebrand will enhance the hotel’s overall image. It’s also a great opportunity to create more recognition and continue to raise the profile of this magnificent hotel,” general manager, Jonathan Wilson, said. The 554-room hotel is situated on the harbour front promenade just steps from the famous Victoria Harbour, minutes away from Tsimshatsui and adjacent to ferries travelling to Hong Kong island’s Central, Wanchai, and North Point districts.
