Eastern China plane crashes in Mongolia

HONG KONG – An Eastern China Airline plane crashed in Bautou City in Inner Mongolia yesterday morning, killing all 53 passengers and crew on board and one on ground, according to Reuters.


The accident happened only less than a minute after take-off on a clear weather. It was heading for Shanghai.

Investigations are currently being conducted to determine the cause of the crash.

Eastern China has had three crashes in the past, once in 1989 and twice in 1993.
