Taking place on 19 October, 2016, the inaugural event will bring together experts from NTOs, travel industry players – both online and offline – to share ideas on how to leverage this growth market to attract more travellers.

Panel discussion topics will include national strategies to develop Halal tourism, the readiness of travel services and the use of technology to target Muslim consumers, while workshops will feature first-hand sharing on developing Muslim-friendly travel packages as well as Halal fine dining options at hotels and restaurants.

MasterCard and CrescentRating will also be releasing its exclusive market intelligence report. One key finding from the report is that the global Muslim travel market was worth US$150 billion in 2015 and is projected to grow to US$220 billion by 2020.
