KUALA LUMPUR - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has introduced check-in services on its website as part of its online services.
The airline stated that after having successfully launched its e-booking tool last year, KLM's new Internet check-in facility will provide further convenience for the airline's passengers.
With this new facility, passengers will have better seat selections within thirty hours of departure time, the airline said.
The airline will still issue boarding passes for security reasons. The passes will be issued at the baggage drop-off point, which is at the World Business Class counters, even for those travelling on economy class.
KLM sales manager for Malaysia, Estee Ng, said that it was important for a European airline operating in Malaysia to introduce innovative services for the convenience of its customers, in order to compete with established regional carriers.
The Internet check-in will help alleviate the lengthy check-in process, especially for economy passengers, she added.
