BANGKOK Century Roxy Park Hotel Singapore will become Accor’s first Grand Mercure in Asia when it is rebranded Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel Singapore on 1 April.

The rebranding is in line with Accor’s successful repositioning of the property two years ago from a leisure hotel to one of the Lion City’s premier corporate properties.

“The Mercure brand is Accor’s largest global brand and one of the fastest growing, adding 64 new hotels in 2003, with this impressive growth set to continue this year around Asia Pacific,” said Accor Managing Director Asia Pacific, Michael Issenberg.

The 482-room Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel Singapore, which includes 83 suites for long staying guests, has undergone some improvements to bring it up to the Grand Mercure brand standards. Broadband Internet access is now available in all deluxe rooms, Royal Club rooms and suites now feature imported bedding.

The hotel is also adding a fine dining outlet, replacing the existing Thai restaurant.
