Cathay launches website exclusively for agents(1)

HONG KONG - Cathay Pacific has announced the launch of a website exclusively designed for use by travel agents in Hong Kong, Australia, Germany and the UK. The new site - www.cxagents.com - will eventually be rolled out to travel agents across Cathay's worldwide network with ongoing enhancements.

The new site covers:
• a complete and up-to-date directory of all current Cathay Pacific fares
• a "fare request" tool to request quote preparation for long, complicated passenger itineraries involving "interline" connections with other carriers
• the latest news and details on all the airline's products, services and destinations.
• Full summary of Cathay Pacific policies and procedures and worldwide contacts
• Marco Polo Club and Asia Miles information
• Online guide for Computer Reservation System reservation and ticketing
• Online ordering facility for Cathay Pacific brochures, timetables etc

Dane Cheng, Cathay's general manager sales Hong Kong and China said: "The new website is a big step forward in our services to the travel agent. It will increase our support for agencies and cut time and costs for both them and us."

Access to the site is free and all IATA and non IATA agencies can register individually, by entering their BSP/IATA number or Travel Agent License number and completing one simple online form. Within 24 hours their round-the-clock access will begin.
