Hertz has unveiled a new all-electric version of the classic 1960s Fiat 500 Spiaggina, which was made available for rent from late June.

The newly-launched model is part of Hertz’s Italian-inspired series, Selezione Italia, which features iconic cars with high-end personalised service.

Hertz is inviting travellers to take a spin in a new all-electric version of the classic 1960s Fiat 500 Spiaggina, unveiled as part of a tie-up with auto design house, Garage Italia.

The newly-launched model is part of Hertz’s Italian-inspired series, Selezione Italia, which features iconic cars with high-end personalised service.

Massimiliano Archiapatti, Hertz Italy’s general manager described the experience as a “fun-to-drive, tailor-made electric Fiat 500 that sports true Italian flair”.

“Selezione Italia is much more than a rental offer, it's a philosophy; it's the way we honour the relationship with our guests,” he added.

Travellers will be able to rent the model, which features a rear-wheel drive electric retro-fitted motor, hand-woven seats in natural rope, and heritage bodywork, with matching rims completing the high-end finish.

Other iconic brands available to rent under the collection include Abarth, Alfa, Fiat and Maserati.

Travellers will be able to be assured that the car they book is the one they get to drive, with access to exclusive service and staff for a high-end rental experience.

Hertz has also launched a British Collection in the UK, a similar premium offering that features the best of British services and products, including models such as the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Jaguar F Pace, E Pace, XE and XF.
