The Hertz Gold Squad, a friendly group of golden retrievers, has continued its globe trotting activity, arriving at Brisbane Airport last week to greet passengers arriving on domestic flights.
First introduced at airports in in the United States, the Gold Squad is now expanding internationally, with pop-ups across several countries.
“We know travelling can come with its fair share of stress, especially during busy holiday periods,” said Damien Shaw, vice president, Hertz Asia Pacific.
“The Gold Squad is our way of bringing a little extra warmth and positivity to the travel experience.”
The move by Herz to enlist the Gold Squad at airports isn’t entirely altruistic. It’s a smart way of introducing passengers to Hertz Gold+, Hertz’s free loyalty programme which allows members to skip the counter at select locations, and earn points redeemable for free rental days.
