Sydney Airport wants passengers to look a million dollars when they depart or arrive in Australia.
No bleary-eyed arrivals or stressed departures thanks to the opening of a barber shop, gym and nail salon at the T1 international terminal.
All three facilities are located landside, allowing passengers to freshen up – or pump weights if they’re so inclined – before going through security and immigration.
Airport officials believe the grooming services will be appreciated most especially by jet-lagged business travellers who can smarten up after a long international flight before a downtown meeting.
Gail Taylor, Sydney Airport’s general manager retail, says the new facilities “are part of our broader commitment to making every step through the airport easier”.
Already open is the barber’s lounge, providing haircuts, beard trimming and other “premium grooming services”.
Anytime Fitness opens 11 March, followed by a nail salon in September.
The two-level fitness club will be open 24/7 for early departures, late arrivals and airport staff.
