Award-winning publication Condé Nast Traveler has cited three Banyan Tree resorts in its highly regarded 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards which assesses the cities, islands and hotels visited by readers in the past year and the airlines and cruise ships used to travel to these destinations. Banyan Tree Phuket and Banyan Tree Bangkok in Thailand, along with Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Mexico, received top rankings.

More than eight million votes were cast by nearly 29,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers.  These awards have come to be seen as a discerning perspective on the best the travel industry has to offer due to their breadth and depth of scope.  Banyan Tree’s flagship resort, Banyan Tree Phuket, ranked 11th out of the top 20 Resorts in Asia; its first city-based property, Banyan Tree Bangkok, ranked 72nd out of the top 126 hotels in Asia; and Banyan Tree Mayakoba, the first Banyan Tree  in the Americas, ranked 16th out of the top 50 resorts in Mexico.

“Banyan Tree resorts are renowned for the superior service and distinctive experiences that make any stay with us so unique,” says Mr. Ho Kwon Ping, Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings. “We are honoured to receive this recognition as a reflection of our commitment to these values.”
