Set to take place from December 11, 2017 to January 1, 2018, the holiday market will offer a range of family-friendly activities and fun including this year’s highlight – a virtual reality (VR) rollercoaster. The attraction will see the existing Mine Train ride updated with Samsung technology to give guests an immersive experience. With the aid of special VR headsets, guests will go on a realistic ride through the Amazon, along wild rivers, into the ocean and come face-to-face with animals living in the rainforest. In addition to the ride several VR game zones will be set up.
The park will also partner with the online marketplace for designers, Pinkoi.com, for the Ocean Park x Pinkoi Festive Marketplace where original accessories and homeware by local designers will be available for purchase.
Adding on to the festive atmosphere, the park will feature holiday decorations complete with artificial snow, a 40-foot Christmas tree, Santa's cottage and a Christmas garden. There will also be a range of Christmas menus and festive treats on offer at various dining outlets throughout the park including holiday meals from Neptune’s Restaurant and Tuxedos Restaurant and casual snacks from food kiosks across the park.
