LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort is set to open its doors to the public in summer 2025, bringing with it over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions across eight themed lands.
John Jakobsen, Chief Operating Officer at LEGOLAND Resorts, stated: "China represents a key pillar of the Merlin Entertainments’ global growth strategy, and LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort marks a crucial advancement in our strategic expansion plans for the Chinese market."
The resort, located in Fengjing Town, Jinshan District, will feature unique attractions inspired by oriental culture and the Yangtze River Delta region, including a world's first "Monkie Kid" themed zone.
"We’re striving to build the ultimate LEGO theme park and hotel destination where LEGO possibilities come to life on an epic scale, sparking a lifetime of play, creativity, and imagination at its opening in Summer 2025," said John Ussher, Senior Divisional Director LEGOLAND Developments.
