While Universal has yet to officially announced an opening date or attraction lineup, here’s what we know about the upcoming USS expansion, slated to open sometime in 2030.
Where are the other Super Nintendo Worlds?
Since announcing plans to bring Nintendo’s video games to life in 2016, Universal has opened the parks at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in 2021, Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023, and the newest to join the lineup is Universal Epic Universe, Orlando in May 2025.
Favourite hits at USS
The immersive Super Nintendo World uses augmented reality and wearable gamification tech, including interactive power-up bands to collect virtual coins and play mini games to earn rewards before exiting the park.
All current Super Nintendo Worlds are anchored by Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, taking guests through underwater courses and courses in the clouds, collecting coins and throwing shells to win the Golden Cup.
Guests can also expect Nintendo smash hits including Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country in a real-life setting, across zones, rides and experiences.
Existing parks also hosts meet-and-greet experiences, with the likes of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Chef Toad making appearances.
Themed food experiences are also a regular feature, such as the Mario Bacon Cheeseburger, the Fireflower Spaghetti & Meatballs, and Princess Peach’s Cake.
Entry and pricing
Tickets for all three Universal Studio Parks generally include access to Super Nintendo World. However, some parks implement timed entry and early access add-ons, alongside ticket bundles.
