Thailand's officially designated second airline Angel Air has suspended all flights as of this month, as it continues with a restructuring project under the eye of Thai aviation expert Virachai Vannukul.

Vannakul was appointed by the airline as its chief advisor and strategist to spearhead the restructuring.

Angel Air has cut back on its operations in recent months due to an aircraft shortage and has been negotiating to secure a new fleet to both resume its existing routes and launch new services around the Mekong region.

Airline executives said the airline would have a clearer view on its future direction by July, as the restructuring progresses.
