Ahead of the anticipated Lunar New Year surge of travellers returning to China, six airlines at Changi Airport will be offering more than 600 added flights to 15 cities across China.

Participating airlines include Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Loong Air, Spring Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.

Extra flights have also been added for the first time this festive season to cities including Nanchang, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Wuhan and Zhengzhou.

Other destinations are Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hefei, Nanjing, Shanghai, Xi’an and Xiamen.

The additional flights will run from 1 February to 8 March 2026–marking double the extra links offered the same time last year.

“The doubling of flight capacity between China and Singapore this Lunar New Year reflects the strong travel demand we continue to see between China and Singapore, as well as the close partnerships we have built with our airline partners,” said Lim Ching Kiat, executive VP for air hub and cargo development, Changi Airport Group.

The move is expected to strengthen Singapore’s position as a key gateway to China, on top of a visa-free travel arrangement and direct links to 37 Chinese cities.

Some changes at Changi will also offer a more convenient travel experience, such as extended early check-ins at Terminals 1 and 3, 24-hour operations for the Changi Lounge, as well as closing the Jewel Rain Vortex later at midnight.
