Japan Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary Zipair has expanded its route map with a daily service between Tokyo Narita and Kuala Lumpur, which launched on 20 October.

The daily return flights are operated by 290-seat Boeing 787-8 aircraft, adding 2,030 seats a week in each direction. Zipair is the fifth airline to serve the Narita–Kuala Lumpur route.

Kuala Lumpur is the airline’s tenth international destination, joining Bangkok, Seoul, Honolulu, Singapore, Los Angeles, San José, San Francisco, Vancouver and Houston.

Flights offer 272 standard seats and 18 Zip Full-Flat seats, with the latter featuring reverse-herringbone lie-flat seating in a 1-2-1 layout.

Free Starlink high-speed inflight Wi-Fi is available to all passengers, and the airline does not impose fuel surcharges.

Fares include up to two pieces of cabin baggage with a combined weight of no more than 7kg, subject to size restrictions. Food and drinks, seat selection, additional cabin baggage allowance and checked baggage cost extra.
