In a bid to collectively contribute to Thailand’s tourism recovery,
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently hosted
a conference with the theme ‘Get Ready for a Brand New Sky’ that
welcomed over 170 Thai travel agency companies.
In
Q1 2022, to support the Thai Government’s Country Reopening policy,
THAI is scheduling flight services to 19 destinations in Asia, nine
destinations in Europe and one destination in Australia.
Through a partnership with Thai Smile Airways, the latter will
operate flights to 14 domestic destinations, along with international
destinations such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Vientiane, Yangon,
Siem Reap and more.
Nond Kalinta, chief commercial officer of THAI, said in the
conference that the collaboration with Thai Smile Airlines and other
partner airlines is part of the implementation of new marketing
strategies that will help to effectively enhance route network for both
international and domestic destinations and maximise passengers’ flying
convenience.
In addition to partnering with other airlines, THAI aims to boost
sales distribution by working alongside travel agencies and online
channels to keep prices competitive and globally standardised.
THAI also plans to introduce a variety of new services for passengers
that include privileges for Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) members, miles
collection and redemption channels, improved options for inflight food
and beverages and inflight full services and 24-hour call centre
service. The airline also plans to further digitise other services in
the future.
