Emirates has become the first airline in the world to introduce the U-Dream headrest which the airline hails as “a game-changing new seat addition that enables economy class customers to experience a whole new level of support and comfort inflight”.
Installation is underway across Emirates’ fleet of A350s and most of its Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s.
The leather U-Dream headrest is padded and features flexible side wings that can be folded inwards to cradle the head and neck, helping passengers to maintain a comfortable sleeping position without their head falling forwards or sideways.
The design moves vertically and tilts to align with passengers of different heights and body types.
Sir Tim Clark, president Emirates Airline said, “The U-Dream changes the game if the person wants to sleep – by supporting the neck in full. No more neck pillows needed.”
