Oneworld airline alliance will open a oneworld-branded lounge at South Korea’s Incheon International Airport in January, the first of several openings worldwide under consideration.

The oneworld Seoul lounge is located at Terminal 1, which hosts flights by seven of the group’s 13 member airlines: American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Malaysia Airlines Qantas, Qatar Airways and Sri Lankan Airlines.

Airline alliance rivals Sky Team and Star Alliance already operate branded lounges at several airports worldwide.

Oneworld is targeting branded lounges at airports where its members do not have a big individual presence, but multiple oneworld airlines fly into the same airport, many with daily flights.

The Oneworld lounge at Seoul Incheon has been built in space previously occupied by Jeju Air, which closed its ‘JJ Lounge’ after the pandemic hit in 2020.
