The airline has introduced a new Xcite tab that comes with a high-resolution touch-screen device and advanced audio technology, and enables guests to purchase a wide range of content.

The airline has introduced a new Xcite tab that comes with a high-resolution touch-screen device and advanced audio technology, and enables guests to purchase a wide range of content.

Programmes include popular Hollywood blockbusters, international and local movies, TV shows, music and magazines; passengers can also shop as they fly with the inclusion of the AirAsia BIG Duty Free catalogue.

Benyamin Ismail, chief executive officer of AirAsia X, said the Xcite content would be regularly updated to ensure passengers get the best quality entertainment when they travel with the airline.

The tab, which supports five languages (English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese), is complimentary for all Premium Flatbed seats. Passengers travelling on economy seats can pre-book the tab via airasia.com for RM49 (US15.70), or rent them onboard for RM60 (US13.50).

Xcite Inflight Entertainment is not available for flights to/from Auckland, Jeddah and Kathmandu.
