Malaysia hopes to welcome more German tourists, with the launch of Condor Airlines’ scheduled flights to Kuala Lumpur this November.
Condor, based in Frankfurt, is Germany’s second largest commercial airline based on fleet size and passengers flown.
The agreement struck with Malaysia Airports and Tourism Malaysia will see Condor fly thrice weekly between Frankfurt and KL, utilising the A330-200 aircraft that can take about 850 inbound passengers weekly.
A joint marketing initiative with Condor Airlines will make use of a promotional fund set up by Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airports.
Currently, there are no direct flights between Germany and Kuala Lumpur following the withdrawal of services by Malaysia Airlines and Lufthansa.
