Starved of opportunities to fly? Missing that buzz as you board an aircraft? Hanging out for a “chicken or fish” inflight meal? But for the lucky few, flying high is still an option.
Boutique Australian tour operator, Crooked Compass, through its new offshoot, Adventure by Air, has launched a series of flight offers from short mystery flights to 32-day curated itineraries around Australia.
Adventure by Air travellers can even choose an aircraft to meet their style of travel, level of comfort and the type of air experience they are seeking. Travellers can take a fixed-wing aircraft, helicopter, seaplane or luxury jet.
Australia by Air, the company's flagship itinerary, is a 32-day luxury journey circumnavigating the country by private aircraft, exploring high-end lodges, homesteads and remote station stays.
Itineraries can be customised with pricing from AU$147,000 (US$103,255) per person.
Mystery flights incorporating exclusive dining and local touring experiences are also on offer.

Company founder, Lisa Pagotto, says: “Due to Covid-19, the downtime from business as usual and the necessity to think outside the box with new product offerings ignited the dream and gave me the drive to make it happen.
“Adventure by Air is taking personalised service to new heights, literally.”
Flights are sold through travel agents and all packages are fully commissionable.
