Location and History

The Broadview Hotel, a handsome seven-story red brick, sandstone and terra-cotta Romanesque-Revival style building, was built as a commercial venture in 1891. In 1907 it was converted into a hotel, and it remained that way, with a slight thirty-year detour as a landmark strip club called Jilly's, until it was acquired by Streetcar Developments in 2014. Decorative stripper poles in some rooms are a witty homage to the hotel's colorful past.
