Location and History

Basel Marriott opened in late 2022, making it one of Basel's newest hotels. It's also the only Marriott in Basel, attracting many American Marriott Bonvoy Members.

Marriott took over the building from a long-standing Swiss hotel that operated from 1984 until it went bankrupt during the COVID-19 pandemic. Marriott completed a full interior renovation of all facilities and guest rooms before opening.
