Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, and the United Arab Emirates – along with Australia - have issued travel alerts urging their citizens to be careful if travelling to the UK.

This follows violent riots which have seen police battling with Far Right demonstrators in towns and cities across England and Northern Ireland.

The violence was fueled by misinformation about the person responsible for the fatal stabbing of three young girls in the seaside town of Southport near Liverpool.

The ‘misinformation’ has led to a spat between Elon Musk and British prime minister Sir Keir Starmer after the tech boss claimed that Britain was heading for civil war.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the billionaire owner of X, formerly Twitter, provoked a row with Downing Street amid the UK government’s accusations that social media is fuelling the unrest.

In a comment on his social media site about the violence, Musk said, “civil war is inevitable” – a remark that was explicitly rejected by the Prime Minister’s official spokesman, who said there was “no justification” for it.
