Luxury travel company &Beyond is set to launch the &Beyond Galapagos Explorer, a conservation-focused expedition yacht in the Galapagos Islands.

The 38m yacht, featuring six suites and cabins, will operate on exclusive 7-night routes with a maximum of 12 guests and two expert guides per departure.

The initiative aims to bring responsible tourism to the biodiverse Galapagos while adhering to strict operating licenses to prevent over-tourism.

“The Galapagos is a natural choice for the further expansion of our portfolio in South America,” shared &Beyond's executive chairman & CEO, Joss Kent, further explaining that the company believes the key to promoting conservation is helping guests fall in love with and understand threatened places.

The Galapagos Explorer is currently undergoing interior refurbishment and will embark on its inaugural voyage on 17 June 2024. The itineraries offer exclusive encounters with wildlife such as the waved albatross and Santa Fe land iguana.

&Beyond plans to apply its Care of Land, People, and Wildlife ethos in the Galapagos, extending its Oceans Without Border initiative for conservation projects and community development.

Rates for the 7-night cruises start at US$10,950 per person sharing.
