Silversea Cruises has unveiled its 2026 world cruise, ‘The Curious and the Sea’, touted to be the most diverse and immersive in the cruise line's history. The 140-day voyage will offer an extensive range of destinations across 37 countries with 70 stops, including 26 new calls and nine overnights.

Scheduled to commence on 6 January 2026, from Fort Lauderdale, the Silver Dawn will serve as the vessel for this seafaring adventure. Passengers will follow historic trade routes, including transits through the Panama and Suez Canals.

Guests will have the opportunity to visit remote islands in the South Pacific, once explored by renowned Captain James Cook; and Western Australia, which captivated the interest of renowned scientist Charles Darwin during his travels.

“For this World Cruise, we took inspiration from history’s most pioneering explorers, each of whom has sailed to the end of the earth—driven by curiosity and a thirst for discovery,” enthused Barbara Muckermann, president and CEO of Silversea Cruises.

“‘The Curious and the Sea’ demonstrates our commitment to unlocking the most immersive travel experiences for our guests, broadening the largest collection of extended voyages in ultra-luxury cruising.”

Highlighting the itinerary is a 28-day exploration of the South Pacific, incorporating new destinations like the Marquesas Islands, Tonga, and New Caledonia. Travellers will be able to immerse themselves in the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage of these remote islands. Another notable feature is the inaugural semi-circumnavigation of Australia, which will showcase the country's diverse natural wonders and wildlife.

Silversea has additionally designed exclusive onshore events specially for world cruising guests. These events will include a Polynesian-themed evening in French Polynesia, an immersive cultural experience on Mystery Island in Vanuatu, a gastronomic feast highlighting regional cuisine in Bali, and a celebration of Northern African cultures, among others.

Optional overland tours to Uzbekistan, Luxor, and the Balkans will be available, allowing guests to delve deeper into these captivating regions.

Passengers aboard the Silver Dawn can expect the utmost in luxury and comfort, with spacious all-suite accommodations and personalised service provided by dedicated butlers.

Silversea's S.A.L.T. culinary programme will offer hands-on cooking classes and a menu inspired by local flavours, while the Roman-inspired Otium wellness programme will provide complimentary treatments and wellness experiences throughout the journey.
