Following the success of its first catamaran voyages in Corsica and the Seychelles, PONANT EXPLORATIONS is adding a second vessel – La Désirade – to its Spirit of Ponant fleet. The expansion will allow the cruise line to offer more bespoke sailing experiences in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

The new Lagoon SEVENTY 7 sailing catamaran features four double staterooms, including an owner’s suite with a suspended terrace, accommodating up to nine guests. Each 7- or 14-day itinerary is fully customisable based on guest preferences, weather and safety conditions.

From now until October 2025, La Désirade will sail from Bonifacio through Southern Corsica and Sardinia. It will then reposition to the Caribbean from December 2025 to April 2026.

Each sailing is all-inclusive and can be booked individually or as a private charter. Aboard the catamaran, four crew members – including a chef – provide personalised service and locally inspired meals using regional produce. Guests also have access to a range of water sports including stand-up paddleboarding, wing foiling, snorkelling, and more.

According to Ponant, “every detail is crafted for a personalised experience in an intimate, refined setting.”
