Princess Cruises has launched a native app in ChatGPT that lets travellers discover and compare cruises using everyday language.

The line says it is the first global cruise operator to offer such an app on the platform, putting the brand at the forefront of Large Language Model (LLM)-powered cruise discovery while keeping travelers connected to Princess’ booking ecosystem.

“There is a broader shift in travel discovery as consumers increasingly use generative AI not simply to find information, but to help evaluate choices and plan increasingly complex trips,” said Neena Vicente, Princess Cruises’ vice-president of digital commerce and experience.

After adding the Princess Cruises app in ChatGPT, travellers can tag @‌princesscruises to search more than 330 destinations across 17 ships. They can filter sailings by destination, date and length, compare ships and itineraries, and check current pricing and availability within the same conversation.

The app connects ChatGPT to information and services on Princess Cruises’ website. Travellers can ask about ports, shore excursions, cruise tours and onboard packages, then narrow their options with follow-up questions. Someone planning an Alaska cruise, for example, could ask which sailings visit Glacier Bay National Park and which depart from Seattle.

To get started, users can open a new chat, type @‌princesscruises, select the app and connect it if prompted. Princess says no separate Princess sign-in is required. The app is initially available through ChatGPT, with expansion to other compatible AI platforms planned, subject to availability and technical requirements.
